Beverly Hills, What a Thrill!!!

Ever have one of those moments where you cannot contain your laughter and as you try to, it escapes in awkward bursts? Okay, that happened to me this morning while reading PopWrap (again) and I just have to share it. TROOP BEVERLY HILLS. I really miss this movie. I've loved it since I was little and there is no doubt in my mind that I am going to buy the DVD tonight. I adore Phyllis Nefler & the Wilderness Girls. I wish I was a wife/mother in the 80's so I could BE Phyllis Nefler. Apparently, last night in Brooklyn, there was a convention for all those who love this movie. So mad I missed that!

Troop Beverly Hills made me love Blondie's "French Kissin'," the art of a good ghost story and how to dance the Freddie which is still an amazing move if you want to impress!

Favorites:
1. "Excuse me officer. Don't you know who this man is? This here's the man who put the space in the Spike's teeth. The man who knocked the hair off Hatler's head. He's the best. He's the greatest. He's my Dad, James the Jackhammer Shackon. Now Daddy, shake the man's hand and let's be on! our! way!"
2. Rosa, the Nefler's maid - who actually is also Rosario from Will & Grace. The woman is great at playing sassy housekeepers! Amazing. "Patches? We don't need no stinkin' patches!"
3. Tori Spelling & singer Jenny Lewis (above) as child stars.
4. Cheech - "Annie Herman, booyy yoyy yoyying!"
5. Phyllis - "The parents here are so self-involved. Sh*t, I broke a nail."
6. Phyllis - "I think I've lost the will to shop." Vicki - "Phyllis, that's not funny." (Vicki played by Stephanie Beacham, who is best known as Sable Colby on Dynasty.)
7. When the girls are earning (not buying) their Wilderness Girl CPR patch, Phyllis volunteers and then is french kissed by the cute policeman doing the demonstration. (French Kissin' is playing...) :)
7. The song "COOKIE TIME!" I wish I could access youtube on my work computer to post a video link of this unforgettable performance. I want to be a Wilderness Girl.

There are more great quotes and scenes to talk about but I haven't seen it in a year.. So excited to do so tonight!
